New york: Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, met with President Edgars Rinkevics of Latvia at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly session.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir to the Latvian President. The discussion between the two leaders focused on the progress of the friendly relations between Kuwait and Latvia. They explored ways to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations.
In attendance at the meeting were several Kuwaiti officials, including the Director-General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan for Foreign Affairs Mazen Isa Al-Isa, and Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tareq Mohammad Al-Banai.
