Kuwait city: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly expressed on Wednesday Kuwait’s condemnation of the Israeli Knesset’s approval of two bills aiming to impose sovereignty over the West Bank and a settlement.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry stated that the step is a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Security Council’s Resolutions, mainly No. 2234. Kuwait has renewed its call for the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities to halt these illegitimate practices. The Ministry emphasized the need to deter the expansion policies of the occupation that undermine the opportunities of making peace and the two-state solution.
The Ministry reiterated Kuwait’s unwavering position to support Palestinian brothers and their legitimate rights. It emphasized the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
