Kuwait Communication Minister Advocates for Enhanced Sahel and Digital Services

Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar emphasized the critical need to advance the government application Sahel and align with Kuwait's digital vision. Al-Omar highlighted this during an extensive meeting with Sahel's Executive Committee, aiming to assess recent developments and strategize the enhancement of digital services for both citizens and residents.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister elaborated on plans to roll out new services on the application, with a strong focus on fostering integration among government agencies via data exchange and technical connectivity. Al-Omar noted that digitization transcends being a mere technical endeavor, representing a comprehensive shift in service delivery methods. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting Sahel's committee and commended the dedication of various work teams involved.

Al-Omar underscored the necessity for intensified efforts in evolving the Sahel Business application to better serve the private sector. This evolution would facilitate entrepreneurs and companies in efficiently completing transactions as part of Kuwait's broader initiative to digitize its business environment. Sahel is recognized as a pivotal national platform for e-government services, streamlining access to services from multiple government entities in a unified location, as remarked by Al-Omar.
