Kuwait Cmte Underlines Anti-Trafficking Capabilities

Kuwait city: Kuwait's Permanent National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons and Migrant Smuggling urged Monday stepping up national training programs and qualifying national staff working in anti-trafficking, thus boosting national capabilities. This initiative was highlighted during the committee's 23rd meeting, chaired by the Ministry of Justice's Acting Undersecretary and the committee's head, Awatef Al-Sanad.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting's agenda focused on evaluating current efforts in fighting trafficking in persons and migrant smuggling. The committee also discussed its vision for raising public awareness about the serious crime of trafficking in persons, emphasizing the importance of national preparedness and education in addressing these issues.
