Doha: Four Kuwaiti athletes secured a collection of medals at the 2025 West Asia Athletics Club Championship, which is ongoing in Doha until April 10. Al-Qadsia's Essa Al-Zankawi emerged victorious in the Discus throw, achieving a distance of 59.75 meters. His teammate, Sultan Al-Rayes, earned a bronze medal in the decathlon event. According to Kuwait News Agency, on the women's side, Mariam Farhan from Salwa Al-Sabah SC achieved third place in the women's Triple jump. Additionally, Al-Fatat SC's Yasmin Waleed secured a silver medal in the high jump event. The West Asia Athletics Club Championship 2025 commenced on Monday in Doha, featuring around 400 athletes from 22 clubs across 11 countries. Kuwait's representation includes Al-Qadsia, Kazma SC, Al-Fatat, and Salwa Al-Sabah.
