Rabat: The State of Kuwait chaired the 68th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) in Rabat on Monday, with delegations from 12 Arab countries, including the State of Kuwait, in attendance.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Acting Director-General of Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry, Shamlan Al-Jahidly, led the Kuwaiti delegation at this two-day meeting. The focus was on a pan-Arab industrial integration strategy aimed at overhauling the Arab industrial and mining sector and enhancing the competitive edge of Arab industrial products. Al-Jahidly highlighted AIDSMO's significant role in promoting Arab coordination and integration in industry, mining, and standardization as crucial sectors for sustainable development.
AIDSMO's Director-General, Adel Al-Sager, also speaking to KUNA, emphasized the organization's ambition to build a pan-Arab industrial foundation capable of adapting to rapid global changes. He noted the organization's efforts to incorporate modern technologies into its programs, such as developing Arab platforms for industrial and mining products, minerals, industrial indicators, and a smart digital library.
