Kuwait city: The 165th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council commenced on Monday, chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya. The session was attended by foreign ministers and heads of delegations from GCC states.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting will focus on reviewing reports that follow up on the implementation of decisions made by the GCC Supreme Council during its 45th summit held in Kuwait last December. The agenda includes examining memoranda and reports submitted by ministerial and technical committees and the General Secretariat. Additionally, the meeting will address issues related to dialogue and strategic relations between GCC countries and international entities, alongside discussions on the latest regional and international developments.
The session will also feature the second joint ministerial meeting for strategic dialogue between the GCC and Japan, aimed at strengthening ties between GCC states and countries globally. The GCC-Japan meeting will cover several topics, including the joint action plan and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest, with the goal of supporting and enhancing security and stability.
