Kuwait Cabinet Slams Netanyahu’s Remarks on Saudi Arabia

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Cabinet on Tuesday strongly condemned the remarks of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Saudi Arabia, in which he suggested the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, backing Riyadh's steadfast support for the Palestinians.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently supported an independent Palestinian state based on 1967 borderlines, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Cabinet emphasized this position during its weekly session presided over by Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah.

Fresh from visits to several Arab nations, including Egypt, Jordan, Oman, and the UAE, the Kuwaiti Acting Premier briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his discussions with political leaders in these countries. The talks centered on bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest, he reported.

Minister of Information and Culture and State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdurrahman Al-Mutairi addressed the Cabinet on the progress of a plan for a government communications center, providing state ministers with details of the initiative.

Additionally, Minister of State for Housing and Municipal Affairs Abdullatif Al-Meshari updated his colleagues on a state program for housing welfare sustainability. He outlined the steps and measures taken to realize this plan, which aims to ensure citizens have access to adequate housing through solutions and mechanisms focusing on sustainability, the Cabinet reported.
