Kuwait Cabinet Congratulates Leadership on National Festivals

Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the country's National Day and Liberation Day. This gesture took place during the Cabinet's regular meeting at Bayan Palace, presided over by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Cabinet expressed wishes for enduring security, stability, welfare, and prosperity for the nation. In addition to the national celebrations, the Cabinet congratulated the Amir, the Crown Prince, and the Kuwait Handball Association on the national team's qualification for the World Handball Cup in Germany in 2027. This achievement was highlighted as a result of the significant support and attention from the political leadership towards the sports sector.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education Sayed Al-Tabtabaei presented a visual analysis of the 2025-2026 school year's results, featuring educational performance indicators and comparisons with previous years, which reflected a stable education system undergoing essential reforms and changes.

The Cabinet also welcomed the forthcoming official visit by President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, to Kuwait on Sunday, February 1, expressing hopes that it will enhance relations between Kuwait and Switzerland and open new avenues for cooperation.

Furthermore, the ministers expressed gratitude to Kuwaiti citizens and companies for their contributions towards the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of mosques across the country. The meeting concluded with the Cabinet mourning the passing of Sergeant Mohammad Saad Al-Hajri from the Ministry of Interior's General Department of Correctional Institutions, who succumbed to injuries sustained while on duty. The Cabinet extended heartfelt condolences to his family.
