Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Cabinet congratulated Tuesday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, all citizens and residents on the holy month of Ramadan. This announcement was made during the Cabinet's customary press conference, held at Bayan Palace under the chairmanship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Cabinet extended its wishes for a blessed Ramadan to both Muslim and Arab nations, along with hopes for continuous security and prosperity for the nation. At the start of the meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister briefed the ministers on his participation in the recent 62nd Munich Security Conference, emphasizing the significance of the event in addressing current global security challenges and fostering dialogue for promoting international security and crisis resolution.
He reiterated Kuwait's commitment to engaging in international relations and supporting conflict resolution through dialogue and peaceful means, aiming to enhance international peace and security. His Highness the Prime Minister also updated the meetings on his discussions held on the sidelines of the security conference with various leaders including the Yemeni President Rashad Al-Alimi, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, UN Higher Commission for Refugees Dr. Barham Salih, and Oracle's CEO Mike Sicilia.
Subsequently, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdulatif Al-Mishari delivered a visual presentation on enhancing building codes to meet traffic requirements, detailing Kuwait Municipality's efforts to improve building regulations and codes to address traffic issues in different Kuwaiti regions.
Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait also presented a report from the Permanent National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons and Migrant Smuggling concerning a national strategy. Additionally, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem shared insights from his participation in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meeting in Mexico City on Saturday, noting the group's commendation of Kuwait's progress in combatting money laundering, terrorism financing, and weapons proliferation, highlighting the nation's political commitment and integrated institutional efforts.
