Kuwait City: The Kuwait cabinet was briefed on the visit to Egypt by the Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who led the Kuwait delegation to the extraordinary Arab Summit. The summit focused on the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause and joint Arab efforts to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to live on their own land.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the weekly cabinet meeting was held at Bayan Palace and chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereedah Abdullah Al-Mousherji reported on the proceedings. At the beginning of the meeting, cabinet members expressed their best wishes for His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, as well as citizens and expatriates in Kuwait, and the Arab and Muslim nations during the holy month of Ramadan.
The cabinet was also briefed on messages sent to His Highness the Amir by leaders of friendly countries, discussing ways to promote bilateral relations and cooperation. Additionally, Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Saud Abdul-Aziz Al-Omar presented a strategic partnership agreement between Kuwait and Microsoft. The agreement involves launching an AI data center, a center for excellence in cloud auditing, and other centers aimed at building the capacity of national cadres and improving their AI skills for future labor market qualification.
The cabinet appreciated the efforts of Al-Omar and the committee on following up the strategic partnership agreement between Kuwait and Microsoft. It also reviewed the minutes of the ministerial committee on economic affairs, which included a recommendation from the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development to endorse the annual development plan for 2025-2026.
