Kuwait Cabinet Anticipates GCC and Central Asian Summit Talks

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Cabinet on Tuesday expressed anticipation for the upcoming talks between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and Central Asian nations, scheduled for May 5 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The summit is set to feature His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This meeting marks the second summit aimed at fostering cooperation between the two regions, as discussed in the weekly Cabinet session presided over by Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan provided a visual presentation on the progress of road maintenance work across highways and various areas nationwide. She assured the Cabinet that the project is on track to meet its deadline without delays. The Cabinet proceeded to deliberate on several agenda items, referring these matters to relevant committees for further review and pending approval.

In addition, the Cabinet approved a decision to revoke Kuwaiti citizenship from several individuals. This decision was based on the findings of a national committee that was established to investigate the issue.
