Kuwait-Based Charity Distributes 1,300 Food Baskets to Needy Families in Cairo

Kuwait city: Kuwait-based Namma charity on Sunday distributed some 1,300 food baskets to needy families across the Egyptian capital Cairo in a gracious deed ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative aims to support impoverished families during this significant time.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the initiative was held in conjunction with Egypt's Orman Association. It seeks to assist impoverished families with the holy month of Ramadan approaching, as stated by Kuwait's ambassador to Cairo, Ghanem Al-Ghanem.

The charitable initiative is an annual program organized by Namma charity, which primarily involves providing food aid to those most in need. The charity's development and relief department chief, Khaled Al-Shemmari, noted the contents of the food baskets include basic staples found in every household during Ramadan. He also mentioned that similar aid will be distributed to other Egyptian governorates.

Orman Association's deputy chief, Mahmoud Fouad, expressed appreciation for the support and highlighted the collaboration with multiple Kuwaiti aid bodies to enhance humanitarian work in Egypt.
