Kuwait Bans Outdoor Work During Peak Heat Hours

Kuwait City: The Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) announced a ban on work in uncovered areas from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., effective from tomorrow until the end of August.

According to Kuwait News Agency, PAM's acting director, Marzouq Al-Otaibi, emphasized the enforcement of administrative resolution 535/2015, which prohibits outdoor work during these hours. PAM's inspection teams will conduct unannounced visits to work sites to ensure compliance, record any violations, and take legal action against offenders.

The decision aims to safeguard workers from extreme summer temperatures without reducing their total work hours. This measure, previously implemented, has been well-received by companies and aligns with public interests and Kuwait's commitment to international labor conventions.
