Kuwait city: The Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) announced on Sunday that local banks will be closed on Sunday, January 18, in observance of Israa and Miraj. KBA Deputy Secretary General Shaikha Al-Essa stated in a press release that banking operations will resume on Monday, January 19, following the guidelines set by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the decision to close banks on January 18 aligns with the official holiday schedule as outlined by the CBK. The holiday commemorates the Israa and Miraj, an event of significance. Customers are advised to plan their banking activities accordingly, as all transactions will be paused during this period.
