Jeddah: Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah affirmed Kuwait's support of joint Islamic action, as well as boosting cooperation with international partners.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Jarallah made this statement during the preparatory meeting for the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the foreign ministers' level. He emphasized the need for intensified efforts to address political and security challenges facing the Islamic world at the current stage.
Al-Jarallah reiterated Kuwait's unwavering support for Arab and Islamic issues, with the Palestinian issue being a primary concern. He also stressed the importance of combating Islamophobia and promoting a culture of tolerance.
He highlighted Kuwait's initiatives in this area, including hosting several humanitarian events and conferences. The preparatory meeting is being held ahead of the 51st foreign ministries meeting, scheduled to take place in Istanbul next June.
