Kuwait Backs Global Anti-Corruption Efforts at Vienna Academy Meetings


Vienna: The 14th session of the Assembly of Parties to the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) commenced on Monday at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, featuring extensive international participation, including representation from the State of Kuwait.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Talal Al-Fassam, emphasized that Kuwait’s involvement is indicative of its commitment to supporting global initiatives aimed at combating corruption and enhancing integrity, transparency, and the rule of law.



He highlighted Kuwait’s prioritization of developing both institutional and human capabilities in anti-corruption efforts, pointing out that collaboration with IACA serves as a fundamental pillar for capacity-building, the exchange of expertise, and the advancement of professional practices.



Al-Fassam further noted that the fight against corruption necessitates ongoing international cooperation due to its cross-border implications and its effect on sustainable development. He affirmed Kuwait’s ongoing support for initiatives that promote transparency and good governance at all levels.
