Kuwait city: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday expressed its commendation for the United States' initiatives, led by President Donald Trump, aimed at ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry highlighted Washington's efforts to negotiate a resolution that would alleviate the challenges faced by the Palestinian people, protect their fundamental rights, and ensure the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area. These efforts also aim to initiate reconstruction, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and promote a just and comprehensive peace.
The State of Kuwait, as noted in the statement, reaffirmed its confidence in President Trump's capability to secure a peaceful and enduring resolution in Gaza. Furthermore, it expressed support for these genuine efforts, which aspire to facilitate the swift provision of essential humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, establish peace based on a two-state solution, and enable the Palestinian people to form an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
