Kuwait and Vietnam Hold 5th Round of Political Consultations

Kuwait city: The foreign ministries of Kuwait and Vietnam convened the fifth round of their political consultations in Kuwait on Monday. The talks were co-chaired by Kuwait's Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia Affairs Sameeh Hayat and Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang.

According to Kuwait News Agency, both sides agreed to adopt tangible measures to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields and enhance mutual understanding and political trust through high-level visit exchanges, as stated by Ambassador Hayat. The meeting reflected the keenness of the political leaderships of both countries on opening new horizons for cooperation.

The consultations dealt with various aspects of political collaboration, including ways to coordinate the stances of both sides at international forums and promote cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, culture, energy, industry, food security, civil aviation, higher education, and scientific research. Nguyen Minh Hang expressed satisfaction with the progress of the relations with Kuwait, noting that the talks were candid and transparent.

She highlighted that the Vietnamese Prime Minister plans to pay an official visit to Kuwait in mid-November to elevate the bilateral relations. Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received the Vietnamese senior official to discuss ways to strengthen the bilateral relations in various fields.
