KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received the visiting President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting between the two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between Kuwait and Tajikistan. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait and Tajikistan signed several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and President Emomali Rahmon. These agreements are aimed at fostering collaboration in various fields such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange, strengthening the ties between the two nations. In another development, Minister of Justice Dr. Mohammad Al-Wasmi met with US Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Cindy Dyer, to discuss ways to boost cooperation in combating human trafficking. The meeting underscored Kuwait's commitment to international efforts in addressing traffick ing issues and enhancing legal frameworks. Meanwhile, in Vienna, OPEC+ agreed to extend the November 2023 voluntary production adjustments of 2.2 million barrels per day for an additional month until the end of December 2024. This decision reflects the ongoing efforts to stabilize global oil markets and ensure a balanced supply-demand dynamic.
