Kuwait City: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA) on Wednesday, with the aim of enhancing technical cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of aviation. The agreement was signed by Kuwait DGCA President Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah and GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Humoud emphasized that the memorandum is designed to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation. The focus will be on areas such as training, knowledge exchange, and updating operational systems. Moreover, it aims to bolster aviation security and safety in accordance with international standards.
Sheikh Humoud further noted that the MoC represents a step towards enhancing integration between the two nations in aviation. He underscored that this collaboration will contribute to improving the efficiency of national personnel and ensure alignment with the latest technological advancements.
Al-Duailej commended the strategic relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that this cooperation will improve coordination in technical and training fields. He noted that it would contribute to the realization of both countries' shared vision for the advancement of the aviation sector.
During the meeting, officials discussed foundational steps for modernizing operational processes, focusing on initiating joint training programs and facilitating the exchange of technical personnel between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Further discussions included the establishment of joint initiatives in aviation security and safety, aimed at coordinating policies and exchanging data to ensure high levels of quality and safety.
