Kuwait and Oman Sign Nine MoUs to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation.

Kuwait: Kuwait and Oman signed nine memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and executive programs in various fields, said Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya Thursday. The agreements were signed during an official visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Bader Al-Buseidi, to Kuwait, marking the tenth session of the joint committee between the two countries. According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Yahya emphasized the significance of the visit, highlighting its role in strengthening historical bilateral relations and advancing strategic cooperation. The visit is seen as a step forward in building a common future, with both nations aiming to expand existing cooperation under the guidance of their respective leaders, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq. Al-Yahya noted that the visit coincides with increasing regional challenges, underscoring the importance of enhanced bilateral and regional partnerships for achievi ng security, stability, and development. The agreements reflect cooperation in cultural fields, maritime certificate recognition, municipal work, consumer protection, and land transport. Additional areas of cooperation include agriculture, animal and fish wealth, endowments and religious affairs, tourism, and civil service. The minister stated that these agreements aim to establish an institutional framework for sustainable development, expertise exchange, and human resource development. He stressed that cooperation in these fields will enhance the role of government institutions and expand opportunities for public-private partnerships. Minister Al-Yahya concluded by expressing optimism that the outcomes of the joint committee meeting will mark a significant shift in Kuwaiti-Omani relations, paving the way for more strategic cooperation and regional stability.
