Kuwait City: Kuwait's Minister of Public Works Noura Al-Mashaan met with visiting Bahraini Minister of Communication and Transport Abdullah bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, alongside Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar and other government officials.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting included Director General of Kuwait Ports Authority Sheikh Khaled Al-Salem Al-Sabah, MPW Deputy Eid Al-Rasheedy, and Director-General of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport Khaled Al-Osaimi. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in digital transformation, exchange of technical expertise, and ports linkage. The Bahraini side expressed interest in signing a memorandum of understanding on maritime linkage.
Al-Mashaan highlighted projects supervised by the ministry involving GCC member states and the Saudi Arabia-Kuwait rail linkages. Al-Omar showcased Kuwait's progress in digital transformation, emphasizing the role of the "Sahl" application, which provides over 400 services to expats and nationals as part of a policy aimed at full digital integration among governmental agencies in line with Kuwait's vision.
Al-Omar also reviewed Kuwait's advancements in communication and global indicators, as well as efforts to develop the communication sector.
