Kuwait city: Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the UN and non-resident Ambassador to The Bahamas, Tariq Al-Bannai, signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on political and economic collaboration.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Bannai stated that the first memorandum aims to set up a mechanism for bilateral political consultations between Kuwait and The Bahamas’ Foreign Ministries. This is intended to enhance discussions during regular meetings at the diplomatic level, focusing on consular, economic, and cultural issues, as well as other topics of shared interest. This effort seeks to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
The memorandum also targets the expansion of bilateral cooperation across various sectors such as investment, trade, tourism, infrastructure, communication, and education. It emphasizes sharing expertise and information and developing projects. Al-Bannai expressed Kuwait’s pride in the cordial relations with the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
He affirmed that the signing of the two memoranda aligns with the leadership’s commitment in both countries to expand ties in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports sustainable development.
