Kuwait Amir’s Envoy Delivers Message to Chinese President Emphasizing Bilateral Relations

Beijing: Envoy of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, met with Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Liu Bin, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing. During this meeting, Sheikh Nawaf delivered a written message from His Highness to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the message underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Kuwait and China. It affirmed that both countries' leaderships are eager to advance cooperation across various fields to serve mutual interests and reflect the depth of their historic ties.

In the meeting, discussions were held on bilateral relations and prospects for development in different sectors, alongside exchanges of views on several issues of common concern. Sheikh Nawaf also highlighted his participation in the closing ceremony of the acquisition between Kuwait's Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) and China's Wanhua Chemical Group in Yantai, Shandong Province, marking Kuwait's largest oil-sector investment in China.

Liu Bin emphasized the depth of bilateral relations and the importance of enhancing cooperation across all fields. He also expressed anticipation for His Highness the Amir's visit to China for the Second Arab-China Summit in 2026 and conveyed gratitude for the message, affirming that it would be delivered to President Xi Jinping.

Sheikh Nawaf was accompanied at the meeting by Ambassador of Kuwait to China, Jasem Al-Najem, Counselor Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel, and Counselor Faisal Al-Mouad from the Kuwait Embassy in China.
