Kuwait Amir Visits Ministry of Defense on Occasion of Ramadan

Kuwait city: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, alongside His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visited the Ministry of Defense to meet with its leadership, officers, and personnel.

According to Kuwait News Agency, during his visit, His Highness the Amir conveyed his greetings for the holy month of Ramadan, expressing prayers for the ongoing security, prosperity, and progress of Kuwait. He commended the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces for their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the nation across land, sea, and air, and he emphasized the military's strategic importance in ensuring national security and stability.

His Highness stressed the importance of continuing the Ministry's Strategic Plan 2025-2030, which aims to enhance institutional work and modernize the defense system to address changing regional and international dynamics. He acknowledged achievements in international cooperation, joint operations, technology transfer, and the launch of the "Naif" light ammunition factory. Furthermore, he praised the ongoing integration of women into the armed forces, highlighting the registration of the first female university graduate cohort.

His Highness provided key directives for the Ministry of Defense leadership, which included conducting unannounced field visits to military units to assess readiness and operational needs, as well as improving military infrastructure and maintaining equipment.

The Chief of Staff, representing Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and all personnel, expressed gratitude for the Amir's presence and ongoing support. He reaffirmed the Kuwaiti Armed Forces' dedication to enhancing defense capabilities, operational readiness, and the strategic development of military sectors, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, alongside initiatives to attract and train young Kuwaiti talent, including the first cohort of female officers.

The armed forces have strengthened both domestic and international cooperation through joint exercises, training programs, and exchanges with allied and friendly nations to improve operational integration and strategic partnerships.
