Kuwait Amir Meets Goldman Sachs CEO to Discuss Economic Collaboration

Kuwait city: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah extended a warm welcome to the CEO and Chairman of Goldman Sachs, David Solomon, along with his delegation, at Bayan Palace on Sunday. The meeting centered on Kuwait's aspirations to enhance investment opportunities and foster a competitive business environment by establishing partnerships with global enterprises.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Amir emphasized Kuwait's commitment to diversifying its economy by transferring expertise, localizing technologies, attracting quality investments, and empowering national cadres. These efforts are aligned with the country's sustainable development goals and aim to create promising opportunities.

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening cooperation with Kuwait. He highlighted the potential for the bank to contribute financial and investment expertise to support Kuwait's economic modernization initiatives, particularly in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035.

The reception was attended by several key figures, including Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Managing Director at the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, and other notable officials.
