Kuwait Amir and Uzbek President Witness Signing of Four Key Agreements

Kuwait City: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the visiting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev oversaw the signing of four agreements during official rounds of talks held at Bayan Palace. Present at the signing ceremony were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the first agreement focused on expanding cooperation within the labor force in the private sector, signed by First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf and Uzbek Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov. The second agreement was a protocol to amend an existing agreement on air cargo cooperation, signed by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov.

The third agreement aimed to develop cooperation between the two countries in the domain of smart cities. This agreement was signed by the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Abdullatif Al-Meshari and Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov. Meanwhile, the fourth agreement, focusing on industrial cooperation, was signed by Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Askar and Uzbekistan's Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Laziz Kudratov.
