Kuwait Airways Expands Codeshare Agreement with SriLankan Airlines to Enhance Global Network

Kuwait city: Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) announced on Thursday the strengthening of its codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines to enhance its global travel network and offer passengers a wider range of travel options.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the cooperation agreement includes placing Kuwait Airways' code on SriLankan Airlines flights operating to several key destinations in Asia, namely Male and Gan in the Maldives, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. This move provides Kuwait Airways' passengers access to these tourist and commercial destinations within the company's network.

SriLankan Airlines will also place its code on several destinations operated by Kuwait Airways, including London in England, Rome in Italy, Tbilisi in Georgia, and Baku in Azerbaijan. This expansion provides SriLankan Airlines' customers access to Europe through Kuwait.

The statement quoted KAC Chairperson Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan, who emphasized that SriLankan Airlines is a strategic partner for Kuwait Airways. This cooperation reflects the national carrier's commitment to providing a diverse network of destinations for its customers and offering a smoother and more integrated travel experience.

Al-Fagaan also mentioned that this agreement is part of a series of alliances Kuwait Airways seeks to strengthen to achieve its future expansion plan and provide additional services for customers.
