Kuwait Affirms Commitment to Joint Arab Initiatives at Tripoli Forum

Tripoli: The State of Kuwait underscored its commitment to engaging in joint Arab initiatives across various spheres, emphasizing its dedication to fostering pan-Arab cooperation and enhancing Arab presence on regional and international stages. Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi, Kuwait's Permanent Delegate at the Arab League, highlighted this commitment during his participation in events held in Libya, part of the "Tripoli Media Days" forum, including the 2025 Arab-International Media Dialogue Forum and the inauguration of the National Libyan Museum.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Al-Mutairi emphasized that discussions at the forum revolved around key topics such as the Arab identity, media content creation, training for media personnel, the development of digital content, and the use of artificial intelligence in media. The forum also reviewed the executive plan of the Arab media strategy, which was adopted by the ministerial Arab media council. This strategy focuses on supporting the Palestinian cause, combating extremism and terrorism, and promoting the Arab identity.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi praised the opening of the revamped Libyan museum, which houses valuable artifacts representing the national cultural and archaeological heritage. These artifacts were retrieved from abroad, showcasing the efforts to preserve Libya's historical legacy.

The forum's activities were attended by several prominent figures, including the Prime Minister of the Libyan National Unity Government Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibeh, Libyan Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, Arab League Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, as well as Arab information ministers, ambassadors of Arab League member states, media figures, experts, influencers, and bloggers. Participants also included various government and diplomatic representatives, heads of labor unions, and organizations with observer status at the Arab media council, such as the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
