The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health declared on Saturday that 524 persons were diagnosed as infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours, raising tally of the cases to 622,489.
The ministry spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said in a statement to KUNA that 1,083 recovery cases were recorded during the same period, putting the whole count of the cured at 613,669.
He reported a single death with the virus, with the death toll amounting to 2,544, adding that number of the cases at the intensive care units stood at 38, while count of the cases that continued to receive treatment reached 6,276.
Meanwhile, there are 182 cases at the covid-19 wards.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Sanad put number of the PCRs, conducted over the past 24 hours, at 10,475, with the total examinations hitting 7.713.564.
