The Kurdistan Democratic Party announced that the decision to extend the security permit period to enter the Kurdistan region (residency) for three months instead of a month has entered into force.

Nawzad Hadi, the official of the party’s branch in Nineveh, denied in a statement today what was circulated on social media pages regarding the continuation of the security permit (residence) for one month in the region’s checkpoints.

He explained: The extension of the security permit period to enter the region (residence) for three months instead of a month entered into force, and that the decision was implemented with follow-up from the KDP Nineveh’s Office and with the approval of the region’s interior minister.

He added, in light of this procedure, the people of Nineveh in particular, and the Iraqis in general, have become able to enter the region through residence, which was extended for three months instead of a month.
