KUNA, QNA Sign Cooperation, News Exchange Agreement

Kuwait city: Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Qatar News Agency (QNA) have signed a cooperation and joint news exchange agreement, witnessed by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Sabah and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. The agreement was formalized by Acting Director General Mohammad Al-Mannaie for KUNA and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan Al-Muraikhi for QNA at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the agreement seeks to establish bilateral cooperation based on equality in the exchange of news, videos, and photos. It aims to enhance the use of artificial intelligence and modern technological tools in media work and encourages the exchange of expertise and knowledge in AI-related applications.

The agreement outlines cooperation in the daily exchange of news in the agreed-upon language, including photos and video clips. Information will be shared through internet-based technologies or other means, ensuring both parties have access to each other's services. Communication methods and data transfer protocols will be shared to facilitate free access.

Additionally, the memorandum provides necessary facilities and support for correspondents and envoys of each agency in the other party's country. It includes organizing exchange visit programs between the two agencies to foster closer ties.

Other aspects of the agreement encompass cooperation activities, news dissemination and distribution, expenses, and communication protocols, laying the groundwork for comprehensive media collaboration.
