Kuwait city: The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Center for the Development of Media concluded its English news writing training course with the participation of KUNA employees, representatives from the Qatar News Agency (QNA), and the Public Authority for Sport.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the course was led by Murtaza Mollaei, a professor of translation at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). The program addressed important aspects of news writing and journalistic ethics, incorporating both theoretical and practical exercises to enhance the skills of news editors.
Mollaei emphasized the significance of news editing and translation in conveying information to the public. He highlighted the importance of training media personnel to provide accurate news and information, whether translating from English to Arabic or vice versa.
He further noted that such courses are crucial in enhancing the abilities of media cadres in both Arabic and English, contributing to the broader goal of ethical journalism and accurate news reporting.
The KUNA Center for the Development of Media, established in 1995, aims to develop the journalistic skills of news personnel.
