KUNA Completes Media Skills Training on Combating Disinformation

Doha: The KUNA Center for Development of Media Skills has successfully concluded its training program titled "Combating Disinformation," which saw participation from several staff members of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). The program aimed to equip journalists and media personnel with the necessary skills to identify and counteract misinformation in the media landscape.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the training program is part of KUNA's ongoing efforts to enhance the professional capabilities of its staff. In other news, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah patronized and attended a friendly meeting organized by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. His presence underscored the importance of scientific progress and collaboration in the nation's development agenda.

Additionally, His Highness chaired the 32nd meeting of the ministerial committee, which is responsible for overseeing the implementation of major development projects within Kuwait. This meeting marked a significant step in the country's efforts to advance its strategic projects and infrastructure development.

In London, Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with Baroness Jenny Chapman, the UK Minister of State for International Development and Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. This meeting highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Kuwait and the United Kingdom in areas of international development.

The 22nd session of the UK-Kuwaiti Steering Committee also concluded in London. It was co-chaired by Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Hamish Falconer, the UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The session emphasized the strong bilateral relations and continued collaboration between the two nations.
