KUFPEC Eyes Enhanced Cooperation with Egypt in Oil and Gas Sector

Cairo: Executive Vice President for Operations of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) Tareq Ibrahim affirmed on Monday eagerness to enhance collaboration with Egypt in oil and gas fields, along expanding its exploration activities. Speaking to KUNA in a statement while chairing KUFPEC delegation partaking in the EGYPES 2025, the largest and most important energy Conference and Exhibition nationwide, Ibrahim said the company works on boosting cooperation with Egypt in this field, terming participation in the exhibition as "positive and fruitful." KUFPEC is working on expanding its work in Egypt through several projects like Minya West, Khofo - north of Al-Amriay- and others, he noted.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Ibrahim extolled the exhibition, which is a key international platform in this field to discuss energy and sustainable transition strategies, along communication and sharing expertise among international and Arab companies and institutions. KUFPEC's delegation has some officials includes Bader Al-Mutar, regional head for Asia, Europe and Africa, and head of Egypt-KUFPEC office Abdulaziz Al-Mousawi, as well as others.

KUFPEC is partaking in the exhibition with a pavilion as part of the conference kicked off earlier in the day under the auspices of Egypt's President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi. Some 500 companies and more than 47,000 specialists from all over the world are present in the conference to focus on the future of energy and strategies of sustainable transition.
