KRCS Distributes 1,300 Food Baskets to Families in Need During Ramadan

Kuwait City: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced on Thursday the distribution of 1,300 food baskets to families registered with the society, on the Holy month of Ramadan.

According to Kuwait News Agency, KRCS Director General Fawaz Al-Mazroei affirmed the society's keenness to provide aid for the families' needs, alleviating their financial burdens during this holy month. He highlighted that this initiative is an extension of the social responsibility program of KRCS during Ramadan, embodying the society's humanitarian role at a local level, stressing their commitment to supporting the community and continuing to work towards a positive impact.

Al-Mazroei explained that the food basket includes rice, sugar, dates, cooking oil, chicken, and canned food, which is sufficient for a month. He expressed his gratitude to the private sector, banks, and those who initiated donations through the society, commending the efforts of volunteers and their activity in distributing the baskets.
