KNPC Stresses Importance of Developing Firefighting Capabilities

Kuwait city: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Support Services, Kholoud Al-Mutairi, has affirmed the company's commitment to strengthening its firefighting system due to its essential role. Al-Mutairi made these remarks in a statement to KUNA after a ceremony celebrating the graduation of a new batch of firefighters appointed at both KNPC and the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC).

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ceremony was attended by notable figures including Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Homoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, KNPC Chief Executive Officer, and Acting Chief Executive Officer of KIPIC Wadha Al-Khateeb. Al-Mutairi expressed appreciation for the governor's support, particularly in assisting the company's Fire Training Center to gain official accreditation from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).

Al-Mutairi emphasized that enhancing firefighter efficiency through advanced training and qualification programs is a top priority for the company. These programs aim to enable firefighters to perform at the highest standards, utilizing modern methods and tools aligned with the latest developments in the field.

Since the establishment of the Fire Training Center, Al-Mutairi noted that it has graduated five batches of firefighters, totaling nearly 250 personnel. She congratulated the graduates, highlighting the course as a crucial step in their professional development, and encouraged them to continue advancing their skills and seizing opportunities to expand their capabilities.

The ceremony took place at the company's Main Support and Emergency Operations Center, celebrating the graduation of 65 firefighters who completed a training course accredited by the US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
