Riyadh: The Knowledge Economic City highlighted the development of mixed-use retail projects in Madinah during its participation in the RLC Global Forum, held February 3 and 4 in Riyadh, as part of its drive to develop integrated urban models that combine retail, hospitality, mobility, and residential uses. According to Saudi Press Agency, the company explained that its projects support economic activity and enhance Madinah's attractiveness as an investment and tourism destination, within the framework of an integrated master plan covering approximately 6.8 million square meters. The plan is being developed under the supervision of the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority and aims to serve hundreds of thousands of residents and receive millions of visitors annually. Key projects include "Multaqa AlMadinah," with an expected investment of SAR2.2 billion, offering lifestyle-oriented retail spaces; "Madinah Gate," linked to the Haramain High-Speed Railway station, with an investment of SAR600 million; a nd the "Islamic World District" spanning 980,000 square meters and targeting the development of more than 14,000 hotel rooms ranging from three- to five-star categories.
