KISR Selects Kuwaiti Scientist as Member of ARA

Kuwait City: Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) announced on Sunday the selection of Dr. Badria Al-Helaili, a researcher at the Energy and Building Research Center, as a member of the American Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences (ARA), making her the first Kuwaiti, Gulf, and Arab scientist to receive such international recognition.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a KISR press release stated that Dr. Al-Helaili was chosen following a two-month voting process by the Academy's scientific and academic committee, in recognition of her distinguished scientific achievements.

The statement added that Dr. Al-Helaili is expected to contribute to the Academy's vision and objectives by engaging in knowledge exchange and presenting innovative leadership ideas, which will help shape the Academy's future.

Established in 1975 in California by a group of Romanian and American scientists, ARA is a non-profit institution dedicated to promoting cultural, scientific, and academic exchange among scholars.

It supports multidisciplinary research in exact sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences, as well as fostering fields such as arts, linguistics, literature, political studies, and sociology, contributing to a comprehensive academic and scientific integration.
