Kirkuk University signs a joint scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with its Turkish counterpart, Ghazi


Kirkuk, The University of Kirkuk signed a joint scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with the Turkish Gazi University.

The President of the University of Kirkuk, Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, said when he received a delegation from (Turkish Ghazi University) headed by Dr. Musa Yildiz, and Istanbul Galisim University headed by Dr. Seif al-Din Arda Ozturk, that the joint meeting resulted in the signing of a memorandum of scientific understanding with the Turkish Gazi University that contributes to enhancing scientific and cultural exchange in the field of exchange of students and professors and support of scientific research.’

He added, “The University of Kirkuk has opened its academic doors to its counterparts from Arab and international universities to conclude joint understandings and agreements, in addition to receiving a number of foreign students within the “Study in Iraq” program, which was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

He pointed out that “Kirkuk University
has close relations with the Turkish side and has signed several previous agreements with a number of Turkish universities.”

For its part, the delegation stressed its country’s interest in establishing scientific and research cooperation relations with Iraqi universities and the University of Kirkuk in particular, praising the prestigious level it has reached on the map of advanced and modern universities.
