Tokyo: Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JAICA), coinciding with the visit to Japan by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, which concluded earlier today.
According to Kuwait News Agency, KFAED stated that the MoU was signed as part of mutual efforts to expand cooperation in development, exchange expertise, and boost integration in executing sustainable development in developing countries. The signing ceremony took place in Tokyo, attended and sponsored by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti side by Foreign Minister and KFAED Chairman Abdullah Al-Yahya and JAICA Deputy President Hara Shohei. The agreement aims to create a framework for cooperation in funding social and economic projects in developing countries. It also seeks to coordinate responses to humanitarian crises and natural disasters, as well as facilitate the exchange of information and technical expertise.
