KDIPA Mulls Over Urban, Economic Development Plans

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) on Monday partnered with global media group The Business Year on a gathering aiming to map out the nation's urban and economic future, saying that the initiative allows intellectual leaders to share their views on the matter.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the event, which focuses on urban development and investment, served as a reminder on the necessity to push forward an economic transition led by the private sector, a KDIPA statement cited State Minister for Housing and Municipal Affairs Abdullatif Al-Meshari as saying.

Such a transition entails the need to keep abreast of the latest trends on sustainability, in addition to cutting-edge, financial tech innovations such as green mortgages and bonds, all of which are crucial to achieve urban growth while building a more resilient economy, added the statement.
