Jordan’s King Abdullah II Condemns Israeli Actions in West Bank

Kuwait city: Jordan's King Abdullah II firmly stated on Sunday that the kingdom stands resolutely against Israeli occupation violations in the occupied West Bank. In his address inaugurating the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament, comprising the House of Representatives and the Senate, he emphasized Jordan's enduring role in Jerusalem and the Hashemite custodianship of both Islamic and Christian holy sites.

According to Kuwait News Agency, King Abdullah II also pledged unwavering support for Palestinians residing in the Gaza Strip. This support includes the provision of ongoing relief efforts and field medical services, reflecting Jordan's commitment to the Palestinian cause.

The King highlighted Jordan's resilience in the face of decades marked by wars, conflicts, and economic challenges, attributing this to the nation's core values of dignity and honor. Within the domestic sphere, he urged the Parliament to focus on political modernization and the enhancement of party-based parliamentary work.

Furthermore, King Abdullah II called for the comprehensive implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision, a strategic effort to stimulate growth through major projects, attract investments, create jobs, and improve living standards. He stressed the importance of citizens experiencing tangible improvements in services, warning against complacency in these endeavors.
