Jordan Reaffirms Opposition to Palestinian Displacement

Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan has reiterated the kingdom's firm stance against any efforts by Israeli occupation authorities to displace Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The king emphasized this position during a meeting with staff members of the US Congress on Tuesday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, King Abdullah II also urged the restoration of the ceasefire in Gaza, the resumption of aid delivery to Palestinians, and a reduction in attacks on the West Bank and holy sites in Jerusalem. The discussion with US Congress members also highlighted the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States and the significant role the US plays in the Middle East region.
