Israeli Occupation Troops Safeguard Settlers During Al-Aqsa Mosque Incursion

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation troops on Tuesday protected settlers as they burst into the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported. The settlers performed Talmudic rites in the mosque courtyards and acted in a provocative manner amid intensive deployment of the Israeli occupation troops at the sites. They set a large candle alight in celebration of the Jewish day "Hannukah" at Al-Qatanin gate. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that Israeli occupation troops forced three Palestinian families to evict their houses in Batn Al-Hawa, Salwan. The houses were evacuated for annexation to a nearby Jewish settlement. The governorate further mentioned that the occupation authorities set January 5 as the last day for evacuating a number of other Palestinians' houses.
