Israeli Occupation Media Claims “Humanitarian Truce” in Parts of Gaza Strip

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation media claimed on Sunday that a so-called temporary "humanitarian truce" would begin in parts of the Gaza Strip at 10:00 am local time, lasting until the evening. According to Kuwait News Agency, the decision was made at a meeting of the mini-cabinet led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The truce was imposed in response to mounting international pressure calling for humanitarian relief in the besieged Palestinian enclave. The population in the Gaza Strip has been suffering from starvation and a lack of food and amenities since the Israeli occupation launched its war in October 2023. Approximately two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing severe hardships due to the ongoing conflict and lack of food resources. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry released a statement asserting that the policy of forced starvation is threatening the lives of all residents of the Gaza Strip. The ministry criticized the global community for its timid response, which has failed to preve nt the Israeli occupation from continuing its actions. In a related development, the Israeli occupation seized the "Handala" Freedom Flotilla, which had international activists on board and was carrying relief aid intended for Gaza. The Gazan media bureau condemned the seizure, describing it as a clear act of aggression and a violation of international law.
