Tehran: Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh announced on Sunday that an attack by Israeli occupation forces targeted a building belonging to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in the northern part of Tehran, resulting in casualties.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Khatibzadeh conveyed through his Twitter account that the targeted building is located opposite the Center for Political and International Studies, of which he is the head. He reported that the attack led to injuries among several civilians, including some of his colleagues, who were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. Khatibzadeh described the incident as a "clear war crime" and part of a systematic campaign of aggression by the Israeli occupation against Iran.
The Center for Political and International Studies is situated outside the main ministerial complex in Tehran. This attack is part of a broader assault by Israeli forces on Tehran and other Iranian cities since dawn last Friday. In response, Iran has launched drones and missiles targeting sites within the occupied territories.
Recent developments have seen Iran escalating its response with a fresh wave of missile and drone strikes directed at the Israeli occupation.
