Israeli Occupation Army to Implement Movement Restrictions in Gaza

Gaza: The Israeli occupation army has announced a strategic decision to separate the northern Gaza Strip from its southern part through the coastal Al-Rashid Street, aiming to restrict the movement of displaced persons.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the army's press statement outlines that the movement will be allowed one-way only, from north to south. This measure is claimed to facilitate the evacuation of individuals unable to leave Gaza City, directing them towards the central and southern regions. The initial phase of this plan will permit free movement without searches, but subsequent phases will introduce security measures and inspections.

This development occurs amidst the ongoing military campaign dubbed "Gideon's Chariots II," which aims to invade and control main neighborhoods of Gaza City and demolish its infrastructure. The campaign has intensified the humanitarian crisis in the region, as UNRWA estimates indicate that over half a million people are enduring severe conditions in Gaza City.
