Jerusalem: The so-called higher planning council of the Israeli occupation civil administration in the West Bank has approved a new settlement construction plan in the E1 area, eastern Jerusalem. The plan entails the construction of more than 3,401 housing units and the establishment of a new settlement.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the approval was announced last week by Israeli occupation Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who described the move as a "historic achievement." The plan is aimed at connecting Ma'ale Adumim to Jerusalem while severing communication between the West Bank and Jerusalem.
